Events - Walk for Living Water 2016-03-5

The 6^th Walk for Living Water organised by the Amity Foundation and supported by the WSD was held at the Ma On Shan Promenade. Participants raised funds for building water systems in arid areas of Mainland by experiencing the hardship of peasants in rural, mountain areas, who need to travel long distances to get water back home for in their everyday use. The Director of Water Supplies, Mr Enoch Lam, not only officiated the kick off ceremony, he also showed his full support by completing the whole walking trail. The WSD’s Water Conservation Section arranged several game booths at the carnival to raise awareness of water conservations and to introduce the water resources in Hong Kong.
