4-minute Shower Challenge

To encourage primary school students to finish shower in 4 minutes for 5 consecutive days and understand that reducing shower duration is a very effective way to reduce domestic water consumption.

Eligibility

Primary 1 - 6 students in Hong Kong

Activities

Schools can print out the  "Shower Time Record Sheet" and distribute to students, encourage them to complete the challenge during the "Water Conservation Week" and fill in their personal thoughts.

Enrollment and Submission of Entries

The completed record sheets collected by school must be submitted online or by post together with completed reply slip before the deadline.

• Submit Online*
  Schools may upload the completed record sheets and reply slip to the "Other" column of "My Schedule" in the Teacher’s Portal for Primary School of this website.
• Submit by Post
  Schools may post the completed record sheets and reply slip to the following address (School name must be indicated):

* Schools which submit online via the Teacher's Portal for Primary School will receive additional "Cherish Water Campus" water droplets. Please click here for more details.

Prizes and Awards

Students who successfully finish shower in 4 minutes^# for 5 consecutive days will receive a souvenir.

^# The time for applying shampoo and body wash while the shower is turn off will not be counted in 4 minutes.

Submission Deadline

5 August 2022 (For entries sent by post, the postmark date will be regarded as the date of submission), late submissions will not be accepted.

Prize Redemption

Participating schools will be contacted by WSD individually.
