Green Carnival 2026
Organised by the Green Council and supported by the Water Supplies Department (WSD), the 22nd "Green Carnival" and the 25th "Eco‑Model Tournament" were held on 1 February 2026 at the Piazza of Kowloon Park, Tsim Sha Tsui. The event attracted members of the public to participate in a wide range of environmental activities, promoting environmental protection messages.
With climate change leading to increasingly frequent extreme weather and droughts, the importance of conserving water and making prudent use of water resources has become ever more evident. The event provided an opportunity to enhance public awareness of environmental protection and to promote the adoption of water‑saving practices in daily life.
As a supporting organisation, WSD promoted the event through its social media platforms to encourage participation. On the event day, the Department's mascot, "Water Save Dave", interacted with participants to promote water conservation messages. An electronic Passbook (ePassbook) was also introduced. WSD contributed water‑saving tips and a short Q&A mini‑game, enabling participants to learn practical water‑saving knowledge through interactive means.
