Hong Kong Green Day 2023

Green Council has designated 5 June as "Hong Kong Green Day" since 2013 in conjunction with "World Environment Day" initiated by the United Nations. A series of green events was launched to raise public awareness of environmental protection.

The theme of "World Environment Day" this year is "Beat Plastic Pollution" encouraging the reduction of plastic usage, thereby reducing the impact to the environment and ecology. The "11th Hong Kong Green Day" Kick-off Ceremony was successfully held on 5 June at Citywalk Phase I. As one of the supporting organisations, WSD set up a game booth with the theme of water conservation at the ceremony. Performed at the ceremony, WSD Mascot, Water Save Dave attracted people of all ages.
